  • Osteopathy

 “osteo: bone/skeleton” and “pathe: way/path”

Osteopathy is a holistic therapy that diagnoses and treats the restrictions and loss of mobility of disorders of the human body. When these dysfunctions set in, they can disrupt the functioning of the body.

Therapeutic method with preventive and curative aims, osteopathy therefore takes care of the patient as a whole thanks to various techniques called:

- functional  (or fascia treatment),

- myotensives

- structural

These last techniques define the know-how of the osteopath, and will be used according to the established diagnosis and according to the patient.

  • Who, when and how can one benefit from an osteopathy session?

You are concerned if you have an infant   from its first month or if you are a child, an adult, a pregnant woman, an athlete or an   elderly person.

An osteopathy session can be of first intention for preventive or therapeutic purposes but also of last intention, after having carried out medical examinations, diagnosing its pathology or coming in parallel with its prescribed treatments.

Spinal pain is the first reason for consultation. However, do not follow only the painful aspect, the area to be treated is not always linked to the painful area. The field of osteopathy extends beyond following an accurate diagnosis by treating the cause of the pain and not necessarily the symptom.

No need for a prescription from your doctor, contact your osteopath directly for a telephone OR online appointment

Ask for an annual report, it's not trivial!

Preventive medicine is the medicine of tomorrow.

You can consult your osteopath in order to obtain an assessment of your overall state of health.

  • Course of the session:

       - entre 45 min et 1 heure_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_

          _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad586 women

       - pensez à présenter vos imageries médicales récentes (Radio, scanner, IRM …)

1)  Anamnesis: the first diagnostic tool that allows you to get to know you better through questions ranging from your birth to today.

2)   The diagnosis: established by an overall assessment of the different spheres that make up the body from different tests.

3)   The treatment: deduced from listening to your suffering, the anamnesis and the diagnosis established by the practitioner.

The success of a session is revealed by the gain in joint mobility, the treatment of all the reasons for consultation as far as possible, and the improvement of pain.

  • Osteopathy and  pathologies

Osteopathy can deal with pathologies affecting the digestive sphere and the various organs, the cranial sphere: headaches, migraines, insomnia, ear infections, tinnitus, concentration and learning disorders..., the psycho-somatic sphere and the musculoskeletal sphere: tendinitis, neuralgia, intra-osseous lesions, posture and spine disorders as a whole.

Other pathologies are frequently encountered by the osteopath and to be treated such as: sleep disorders, agitation, for infants regurgitation, colic, plagiocephaly, etc.

  • Mutual/recognized: Osteopathy has been legal since March 2002 and fully recognized since March 2007 in France!

Contact your mutual insurance company, it is likely to be able, on request for an invoice from the osteopath, to reimburse you for a limited number of treatments, in part or in full!
